Who controls your data
Auto Princess Ltd (company no. 17155826), registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for the personal data we process to provide the app and website. We process your data under the UK GDPR, and under the EU GDPR where you are in the EEA.
Why we process it (legal bases)
- Contract — to run your account, deliver diagnostics, and manage your subscription.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, fix bugs, and improve features, including training our AI models on anonymised data.
- Consent — for microphone (engine audio) and camera (visual inspection) access, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Note: data that has already been anonymised and used to train our AI models cannot be removed from those trained models — see the full policy for detail.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
International transfers & EU users
Some of our processors (e.g. Google) may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. EEA users can find our EU representative's details in the full policy.
